MY SPECIAL TRIP TO LOMBOK

Hello guys, welcome back again! yo whatsup!

This is a very late posting due to this should have been posted on December, 2014. So i would like to share about my short trip to Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). If you don't know this place, feel free to search on google *Head'sUp*

When I was in seventh semester, after finishing one of three mandates of university (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi) which is community service or Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, I was invited by my aunt dr. Maryam Haba M.Kes to have a trip together her team to Lombok. As you all might know, her team consisted of six persons and including me as seven persons. All of her friends are in the same office in Maros Hospital.

So let's take a little look up in this story...

We finally flew to Lombok International Airport by using Garuda Indonesia, November, 19th 2014 at 09:55 a.m. boarding time from Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. The flight took an hour a half *I don't really remember it*, before landing on the airport we could see so many the greatness of god that refreshed our eyes and our heart condition, yes it was a beautiful land, fancy and magnificent the three gilis. *would talk a little more later*. I was captivated by all of those great views with the result that I forgot to take picture of it *Oh damn!, I lose it*

Arrived at the airport...

The first thing I saw when I arrived there is the nice-looking posters about lombok, so many people over there took a picture of it even a selfie. This airport is not as big as Sultan Hasanuddin airport but it is enough to accommodate passengers for all over the world, the traffic was busy as hell, many airplanes fly and get in line on the back of the blue sky. I didn't forget to take a selfie and check in on path *so that everyone knows and being jealous* Just kidding, and I didn't forget also to inform all my dearest persons.

One of my aunt's friend, dr Sri which her husband was in Lombok picked us up and brought us to one of the traditional village of Lombok, Sasak Village SADE Rembitan-Lombok

What we saw there was something unusual, that's a small house with tall rooftop like a pentagon and the floors inside were built using *sorry* buffalo feces or *bull's shits*. It was believed that it will have a strong foundation and also to make the air in the inside to be more cooler. *one of the tour guide told us*. We also saw the traditional weaving which was done by inhabitants there, especially most of mothers there.

There were so many places we enthusiastically stopped by, like The Lombok's icon, the central of pearl jewel, food culinary. Yeah, Lombok has been famous with its distinctive food that is Ayam Taliwang, I couldn't express this with words, but if you are in Lombok, you will regret yourself if you didn't taste it before you leave this city. :)

After having dinner, we go to bAleku Inn to rest our bodies and minds after having go around the city, this place is recommended to rent because its location is not far from the central city, and it is cool here, it has old-schooled car, big big motorcycle, musical instruments and the owners are so friendly. The concept is not too now and too old, it is combined where the bedroom is made from bamboos, seems like so nature with jasmine flowers as its finishing garnished the whole room so that sweet-smelling we can feel. I didn't forget also to take a review of the bathroom, the bamboos still there as the shower with couple of stones as its floor with jasmine flowers as well.

bAleku Inn

The very next day, we started our day with fried rice and a cup of tea, we didn't want to trip with hungry tummy or it would be a horrible trip ever. after having breakfast, we then moved over to Gili Trawangan. As you may note that, there are three Gilis in Lombok, they all are Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, and Gili Menok. The first destination we reached was the Gili Trawangan, why? because this is the very busy place due to many tourists from across the world who want to enjoy the beautiful scenery and nice panorama. It is also the biggest than the others. When we arrived there, we, of course, walked with our backpacks to bAleku inn. *There are two bAleku inns, one is in the city, and one is here, Gili Trawangan*. If you are a die-hard fans of motorcycle or car, this is not the place for you as this place prohibits every vehicle with machine, so you will only find bicycle and chariot/horse-drawn carriage.

Night view of a lane

Just an information for you guys, the map of Gili Trawangan is like a labyrinth, there are so many lanes, you may find yourself lost there if you don't notice what is noticeable :D

Before evening...

After cleaning our place and be prepared to swim, we walked about 15-20 minutes to see every side of this place, so many unique yet still have the good places to touch down in. I met a girl there and had a small talk, but didn't forget to take a S-e-l-f-i-e :p

At 8:00 p.m, the hunger assaulted our tummy, every side of the lane has a good and affordable food and drink, we stopped by at javanese grilled chicken to satisfy ourselves and then moved back to our inn. At 10:00 p.m I couldn't sleep, so I decided to go out my room to stroll with my earphones plugged in, I was trying to forget some problems that really disturbing my head. it took approximately 1 hour for the night stroll. I was so exhausted when i arrived at my room.

Sleeping time... No need to tell what I was dreaming of :p

The last day in Lombok, on sunny day morning, we gathered to go to Gili Menok and Gili Air.
The Gili Menok is only a place without people there, we just rolled there, trying to see the beautiful view with our phones ready to capture moments.

Been satisfied taking some pictures of it, we then moved over to Gili Air, yup, this is as beautiful as the others, but what makes it different is, the are so many many fishes on the edge of this place which we can swim with :D

I remembered the best moments here, and really wanted to rewind someday with my beautiful dearest someone. Hopefully what I dream of is achievable, with struggles and hard working, I think it is possible.
